Letters, Numbers, Gematria! Oh My!

Much like the history of humanity, our language and its origin are a complete mystery. How and when humans began speaking, reading and writing is anyone’s guess. We can, however, look back and see that there was a short list of popular root tongues and cultures centered around them. Languages such as Greek, Latin and Hebrew come to mind.

One of those firsts was Akkadian. A now dead Semitic language, Akkadian is thought to possibly be the root of several other Mesopotamian languages. Most notably Arabic and Hebrew (jinx!). Akkadian also happens to be the language involved in the first recorded use of gematria, or the converting of letters to numbers. King Sargon II of Babylon was said to have built a bad-ass wall that was 16,283 cubits long. This number corresponding to the numerical value of his name.

The idea is uncomplicated, and you probably did something similar as a kid. Given a set of letters, each one is assigned a numerical equivalent. Using the English alphabet, the letters are numbered in a order:

Now convert your words by spelling with the numbers instead. Given the word EXAMPLE, we get the value of 72 [5 + 24 + 1 + 13 + 16 + 12 + 5]. This example is using a simple English gematria. There are many different types, even within a single language. For instance, some gematria tables will reset back to one:

Pretty nerdy stuff on the surface, definitely some geeky fun for a sunny day.

Side Caption – I got a kick out of the numbers generated from the blog name. I had never examined that before. The fact that those numbers match my blog and I see 1781, 666, and 111; all the time is just one more synchronicity around the writing of this blog. I’ll write about those some day. 

But what’s really interesting about it, and the impetus for writing this piece, is the purported use of gematria in mainstream media. There are a number of popular YouTubers who make such claims. They say that many news stories and headlines are encoded using various types of gematria. Also that these encodings are sometimes components of larger, more complex, magick spells and/or rituals.

Many of these folks believe that whichever secret society runs the media is doing this encoding. One channel has been able to make sports predictions based on past event encoding. They were quite accurate in regards to the pageantry surrounding the NBA finals. The gist of their message is that our slave-masters encode this information into the media on purpose, to inform us of what they’re up to; for use in ritual magick; and, of course, to mock us.

While this is certainly possible, it isn’t something that can be easily verified. Maybe it’s a case of “severe coincidence”? That’s exactly the way they’d want it to look, right?

In contemplating that theory, I ran into a lot of issues. Most notably “scale”. The sheer scale of the operation needed to actually make it happen. Repeatedly make it happen. And keep it all secret? No way. Furthermore, for those who think predestination is a thing, encoding media for events would be a complete waste of time. So after some serious consideration of what it would take to pull off this feat, I narrowed it down to two possible explanations.

It is the underlying pattern of our reality

Since feeling like a helpless victim is useless (and sucks), I’m going to focus on the latter.

Quantum theory suggests that we create, or better put “render“, our reality. That is to say, outside of our brains you wouldn’t see the same thing the guy inside the brain is seeing. Our “reality” is a group effort and is therefore shaped primarily by the observer(s). Our collective consciousness massages, twists, and transforms the quantum soup into our day-to-day world.

Extrapolated out, the theory suggests that stuff vibrates at distinct frequencies. Our brains then have a mapping of frequencies to images. When it receives light of a certain frequency, the image(s) associated is rendered (you “see” it). Our bodies are event-driven systems. They’re triggered by sensory alarms (like a papercut or burn) or chemical events in the noggin. There are millions of frequencies that your brain can respond to simultaneously. These frequencies render as well. Maybe not visually, but there is a engine reserved for that purpose.

Behind almost every rendered object there is a structure. If not, a mathematical equation defines the object. Both provide the same function: a “wireframe”. The wireframe is the foundation upon which the surface (or skin) is rendered. Modern 3D software packages today have a way to describe objects with scripts, or programs, so one doesn’t have to draw everything by hand. VRML is one such language that comes to mind. The point here is that you take your object definition/script and import it into your rendering software. The software then makes it available for use in your scenes.

What if the gematria signatures found in media and everyday life are actually the wireframe upon which humanity’s visual scenes are rendered? The implications are profound. If there is an underlying structure to our reality, then our reality is most definitely malleable at some level. Also, there must be some kind of execution plan at work here, and we are just watching it play out.

Alternatively, perhaps there is a natural order to this rendering. And when it’s operating properly, without interference; this gematria phenomena isn’t apparent. Maybe, if the rendering engine is altered in some way, it’s smart enough to hide a secret message in the scene. To alert us that those elements are not “part of the program”. Think of it as a feedback monitor. It’s a thought. A nicer one than the last, that’s for sure. 😉

    Holy fuckamole! That statement is so profound and it makes perfect sense to me… I literally feel euphoric! OMG!
    I think you may have decoded the OS!
    On to the testing phase… please let me help! I’m getting a strong download that imagination has a huge part in breaking the OS, but need more info revealed.
    Im getting that Intentions of just a few are needed for using glitches as a way of testing this theory as well.
